| The Water Pollution Control Authority is a volunteer board consisting of five regular members and three alternates. The goal of the WPCA is to have and maintain a wastewater management program, which will protect the residents of New Fairfield from exposure to biological, microbiological, and chemical substances in wastewater, which are likely to cause hazardous health conditions. The WPCA will also monitor surface water run off and ground water for concentrations of chemical substances, common to wastewater, which are likely to cause stress to the environment of the bodies of water into which they flow. |
