Fee Schedule Effective 7/2017

 

                     Valuation of Work (LABOR & MATERIAL AT MARKET VALUE)

 

MISC/MECH/ELEC/PLUM/WINDOWS

/SIDING/ROOF ETC.

 

$60.26 for the first $1,000.00 or fraction thereof , $12.26 per $1,000.00 or fraction thereafter   

 

 

Residential & Commercial structural building permits shall be calculated using $60.26 for the first $1,000.00 or fraction thereof & $12.26 per $1,000.00 or fraction thereafter.

 

"Valuation of Work" is  defined to  include  all   materials  & labor  used  at  currenmarket value.


(1)  Square feet of living space: per ICC Valuation Data.

(2)  Foundation:$15 per square foot.'

(3)  Garage, freestanding or attached: $20 per square foot.

              (4) Basement Garage:'$20 per square foot.

               (5) Basement finished & Attic:$30 per square foot.

 (6) All other accessory buildings: $20 per square foot.

 (7) Open Breezeways & covered porches: $20 per square foot.

               (8) Fireplaces: $5,000 per fireplace

 (9) Decks: $25 per square foot

(10) Miscellaneous based on contract price


 Plan Review Fee; fee is payable upon submission of application. Fee is applied to cost of permit (non-refundable if  project is not pursued)                                                                                                                                            $50.00

Important Note: The State of Connecticut requires the Building Department to charge a fee of .26 cents per thousand included in the permit fee for state education fee.



FEES:


1. Work done without a permit that would have required a permit. 

    a. A permit fee will be accessed on value of work per present costs.This would not include any other additional fees incurred for 3rd party reviews if so required – i.e. Architect, Engineer, Etc.
    b. The property owner is responsible for any cost incurred to verify, deconstruct, or investigate concealed conditions if required.

2. Re-inspection: A fee of $25 will be charged for any inspections that have to be repeated more than twice due to non-compliance with the code. i.e. footings, rough framing, final inspection etc.

Permit fees are non-refundable.
