Are you interested in getting more involved in Town? There are currently vacancies on the Zoning Board of Appeals, Economic Development Commission, Ball Pond Advisory Committee, Commission on the Aging, Water Pollution Control Authority and the Inland Wetlands/Conservation Commission. The Board of Selectmen is supported by many Committees, Boards and Commissions that administer the ordinances and regulations of the town. Most Boards and Commissions meet once per month on a weekday evening, and I encourage you to review the list of vacancies to see if there is a good fit for you. With few exceptions, you don’t need to be an expert on the subject to start – your fellow commissioners will bring you up to speed – all you need is the interest and the willingness to participate.
