General Information

The Town of New Fairfield is offering a service to its citizens which will allow them to be alerted to emergency situations in town. This will allow the town to notify its residents quickly for such things as a utility outages, evacuation notice, chemical or gas spill, major road closure, public health emergency, or shelter information. When a notification occurs, you will receive a recorded message or email with all of the pertinent information for the situation that is occurring. This system will be used for emergency purposes only. Enrollment is completely free and voluntary. Residents have the option of getting notified via home phone, cellular phone, and email (or all three). The information will remain completely private and we will not share it. . Please note, that due to the type of emergency, we may send the calls to just your home or to all. We also have the town broken into different neighborhoods. Therefore, we may only call certain areas that are affected rather than the entire town. To enroll, please fill out the form below and mail, fax, or drop it off at the Communications Center in the Police Department. You can also email your information in or call to register. We will need your name, address, and the methods you which to be contacted via (home phone, cell phones, email).
